The open source graphics application "Gimp" does that, and it's very useful:Maha1 wrote:I think that it would be great to have the option "Save Copy of Project As" to give the option of saving a copy as the file stands, but continue on in the original file

Re: Audacity records Bass at wrong pitch
Thanks....but speed isn't the issue...key or pitch is the problem Have you carefully tested as I suggested? As DVDdoug wrote, a difference between 48 kHz and 44.1 kHz (both are standard sample rates) could account for a change in pitch of about 2/3rds of a tone, but it would be accompanied by a sli...

Re: Everything just stopped working
What are you recording with? (example: a Samson C01 Condenser Microphone connected to the USB port of my HP Spectre x360 laptop.)
How much free disk space on the drive that you are recording to?
Did the computer go to sleep / hibernate before Audacity froze?
Do the menus open in Audacity?

Re: Expanded scales for gain and pan stopped working
I'll move this topic to the "feedback" board as it is a cross-platform issue with the current alpha code. This is what I see on Linux. Please comment on whether you see the same on Windows: Audacity 2.1.3: Clicking on the track Gain or Pan slider to the right or left of the current positio...

Re: Noise Removal Tests
Unfortunately we've not heard from Jérôme M. Berger for several years, so until unless developer decides to continue that project we are not going to see it progress.Gibbz wrote:Any updates on the progress of this noise coring?

Re: Fluctuating latency
How much is "quite a bit"? If it's more than a few milliseconds, then you probably need better hardware.

Re: Fluctuating latency
You mean when you are trying to set up latency compensation the amount of latency keeps changing? How much is it changing by?

Re: 6 features
For "experimenting", Audacity has the Nyquist Prompt: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/nyquist_prompt.html Most of the experimental features that you describe, plus many more experimental features, can be achieved with Nyquist. For example: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=...

Re: Channel Mixer effect crashes Audacity
That's not implemented (yet) for Nyquist plug-ins, so they all say "n/a"DickN wrote:Manage->About says 'Version: n/a'.
