Re: Editing Feature Wishlist
Is there any way to create a shortcut to a specific Chain? Not currently, but I've logged your interest in that feature on the "Feature Requests" page of the Audacity wiki. This is definitely better than what I was doing. I'd still like to see a single keystroke that could take the place ...

Re: Synchronizing multiple mp3 files
It need not be arduous. If you want to be totally without restriction, then all things must be allowed, and it is the matter of defining the specific thing that you want that is arduous. For example, It is common for synthesizers to offer a selection of simple cyclical waveforms, such as Sine, Tria...

If you know in advance that you will need to use a series of effects again, you could create a Chain with those effects, This 'solution' i...

Set up some Chains with the "Normalize" effect. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/normalize.htmlasbestosbill wrote:AMPLIFY TO PEAK
The Normalize effect is pretty much like the Amplify effect, with the significant difference that it amplifies to the specified peak level. The other options can be turned off.

Re: Synchronizing multiple mp3 files
I would like to synchronize multiple mp3 files You can't get exact synchronisation of MP3s because the encoder/decoder delay is not defined. Most other formats (including WAV, FLAC and OGG Vorbis) don't have this problem. and have them exit the computer through separate USB ports Probably better to...

Re: MP3 Variable Bit Rate
when exported at Quality 8 from Audacity, it became 133kpbs, and when converted at Quality 8 from foobar2000, it became 77kbps. I'm generally getting around 70 to 90 kbps with these settings: settings.png Audacity uses LAME for encoding MP3. Did you download and install LAME as described in the man...

Once you have Jack starting reliably from the command line, add that command to your start-up items (on my system it's called "Session and Startup")
