Re: How to move (fine-tune) a track along a timeline?
Zoom in (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/zooming.html) one one or other end of the clip that you want to move, then use the Time Shift tool. (I generally find that "Ctrl + Mouse wheel" is the fastest way to zoom in and out.)

Re: Synchronizing multiple mp3 files
Is there a formal procedure for submitting add-on applications to Audacity? Yes, you post your proposal to this board on the forum: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewforum.php?f=20 The proposal will remain on that board so that other Audacity users can comment, discus agree or disagree, then about...

Re: Remove vocals
Can anyone help? Probably not. Nearly all vocal removal tools rely on the vocal being distinctly mono in the centre of the stereo mix. The chorus in this song has very strong stereo effects applied to it, which makes it virtually impossible for a computer to distinguish from the music. For more inf...

Re: Audacity doesn't launch
It is likely that the problem is due to your sound card drivers.
Information about this can be found in the Audacity wiki here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Updat ... ce_Drivers

Re: EFFETTO RIMOZIONE RUMORE SCOMPARSO (PUSH NOISE REMOVAL E
Do not try to remove ALL of the noise. If you remove ALL of the noise, it will sound bad. Try to make the noise less without causing too much damage to the remaining sound. The default settings shown here usually work quite well: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/noise_reduction.html To remove more...

Building Audacity 2.2.0 on Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty)
These steps were tested with Audacity 2.2.0 alpha July 24th on a clean installation of Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) 64-bit. They should also work on other flavours of Ubuntu 17.04 If any other version of Audacity is already installed, I would recommend uninstalling it before starting these steps. When...

Re: EFFETTO RIMOZIONE RUMORE SCOMPARSO (PUSH NOISE REMOVAL E
The "Noise Removal" effect has been updated and the name changed to "Noise Reduction" (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/noise_reduction.html). Sorry I don't know what it is called in Italian, but it should be in the Effect list somewhere.

Re: Editing Feature Wishlist
Maybe this kind of highlights the difference between Chains and macros? Chains apply to whole files / projects, can't be hotkeyed, and only include effects and filters; while macros apply to selection (or area around cursor), can be assigned shortcuts, and have access to all menus — and some contro...

Re: Sample format setting in the device MIDI unit
Audacity works internally with 32-bit float format, and it is best that Audacity is set to use 32-bit float format tracks. It does not matter that the sample format of the capture device does not match, and there aren't any sound cards that capture as 32-bit. It is preferable that the sample rate ma...
