Re: Moving selected sound files horizontally

If there is empty space to move it into, you can grab and slide audio clips with the Time Shift tool.
Another option is cut and paste (Shortcuts, Command + X, Command + V).

Re: Allow generating chirps and tones below 1Hz

The developers have a lot of important work to do that will benefit millions of Audacity users. While I can see that your suggestion 'may' benefit one or two users, the practical benefit is marginal. How often do you think people want to generate a frequency of once cycle per year, or anything below...

Re: Select Track Start to Cursor affected by label tracks

Re: Clean noisy sound

MP4 is also a "lossy" format, so not an ideal starting point, but if that's all you have then you can only use what you've got ;) If you have FFmpeg installed, you can probably import the audio from the MP4 directly without converting to an intermediary format. If you don't have FFmpeg ins...

Re: Clean noisy sound

I think what Koz means is that it is better to work with high quality "uncompressed" audio rather than MP3. The MP3 file format "compresses" the audio data to make the files smaller, but in doing so it discards some of the audio data and causes a small amount of damage to the sou...

Re: A problem while using stereo tracks with Audio Sequencer

Is this the plug-in? http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Ef...

Re: Load all time

An important design feature of Audacity is that the visual representation of the track audio represents the current state of the audio. This is distinctly different from most "real-time DAW" programs that usually do not update the waveform. In Audacity, the waveform is updated "in rea...
