That's a rather minimalist backtrace. It doesn't give much to go on.
It looks like Audacity can't initialize your audio device.
Have you tried running Audacity without the IQaudIO DAC+ with vanilla Raspbian?

Re: Simulating a poor VOIP call (dropped frames)
Here's a little script that can be run in the Nyquist Prompt effect . It should only be used with fairly short mono tracks. What it does is to split the selected audio into "frames" that have as size of "Frame size (samples)" Then it drops a random number between 0 and "Max ...

Re: Problem digitizing vinyl audio
I am using WASAPI at the minute I'd suggest that you try "MME" initially. WASAPI "should" work, but MME is usually the most compatible, so I'd suggest trying that in the first instance, What sample rate have you set in the Xonar U7? I'd suggest that you try 44100, and ensure tha...

Re: project rates vs actual sample rates under DirectSound
so my question becomes - what is Audacity doing to get a 16K sample rate nonetheless when working with DirectSound? The sound system will ('should') provide audio data at an alternative (supported) sample rate, and Audacity will then resample the data on the fly. So if you select 16000 Hz as the pr...

Re: Configuring RPi with IQaudIO DAC+ to work with Audacity
We don't officially support Raspbian, but I'll try to help if I can ;) When Audacity opens I get a reduced screen rather than the normal opening screen I get a screen with a "Backtrace" button. Sounds like Audacity has hit an "Assert", which means, something has happened that sho...

Re: How to count the number of the "clipping" point
At the moment, your recording loses much information because the recording is severely clipped. the sound will very smooth or quiet during ingnition under certain conditions, and some time the sound will be very loud, Try to make recordings of those at a lower level so that the loud one does not clip...

Re: Signal Clipping at -11?
For spoken word I would expect that the "pad" switch on the mic should be off (assuming that you are not yelling into the mic). Next thing in line is the pre-amp. Ensure that phantom power is on. Ensure that the input level is set appropriately (not too high or too low). The "clip&quo...

Re: project rates vs actual sample rates under DirectSound
I'm not on Windows so I can't answer your question directly, but if you start playback, then look in the status bar (at the bottom of the main Audacity window) toward the right, Audacity reports what the actual sample rate is.

Re: Reinstalled antarest autotune Now I cant open up project
Antares Autotune does not support Audacity. Attempting to use it 'may' have cause a problem in Audacity effects settings. Audacity's effects settings are stored in two files: pluginregistry.cfg pluginsettings.cfg and Audacity's "preferences" are stored in another file: audacity.cfg If you ...
