Re: Possible bug using Sample Data Import
This is a different issue from the "'TEST1.TXT' is not a numeric value." problem. The problem now is that you are exporting "dB scale" (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/sample_data_export.html#Measurement_scale), but Sample Data Import requires "Linear" values (http:/...

Re: Questions about LV2 effects
I've briefly tried noise-repellent and from a quick test it is impressive. I look forward to testing it more thoroughly once the next Audacity release is out, and I look forward to you chiming in for discussion

Re: Questions about LV2 effects
Do you know if Audacity supports lv2 state extension? Sorry, I don't know. You could ask on the developer's mailing list (see: https://www.audacityteam.org/contact/mailing-lists/), though please be aware that we are currently preparing for the next release so you may not get a quick response (also,...

Re: Questions about LV2 effects
Unfortunately I don't know much about the internals of LV2 effects (it's not something that I've got round to yet), but I have an idea what the problem may be. In "real time" DAWs such as Ardour, plug-ins are loaded and attached to a track or bus, and remain loaded for the duration of the ...

Re: converting .ram files to mp3
The ".ram" file extension was used by "RealNetworks" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RealNetworks) for "Real Audio Metadata". These files were small text files used by websites to link to Real Audio or Real Video (.ra, or .rm or .rv) files. The .ram files did not contain...

Re: How to automatically insert silence periodically (Med Us
I would like to insert about two minutes of silence for every 10 seconds of sound content. I would like this to be done automatically since the sound content is a bit long (20 minutes).Automation will be helpful since I'd like to do this again for several different types of sound content. Is this p...

Re: Questions about LV2 effects
That sounds terrific.
If your plug-in is fully compliant with LV2 specifications, and does not require MIDI, then it 'should' work with Audacity.
(Update: Another thought, Audacity only supports mono or stereo, not multi-channel > 2)
Is the plug-in Linux only, or cross-platform?

Re: Linux Mint 18 KDE Audacity displays wrong extension on s
You mean that Audacity gives the default wrong extension on Export ("Save" is for saving Projects, not audio files). Yes that is correct - it's a bug. I believe that it has been at least "mostly" fixed in the up and coming Audacity 2.2.0 version (I'm not sure off hand if it is co...

The damage is restricted to the clipped region.CassetteMountain wrote:What I'm trying to clarify is, whether clipping negatively affects the file as a whole, or whether the negative effect is solely restricted to those lost moments of audio?
