How far are you getting?
Do you have wxGTK 3.0.2 installed?
What error messages are you getting?
Have you been able to build any version of Audacity?

It could be due to a damaged mic cable / plug. Are you able to test the mic with anything other than your computer?

What sort of "noise" is that? Is it a loud hum?
What sort of mic are you using and how is it attached to your computer?
