Re: Envelope follower / ducker
Updated plug-in. In this version, if only one track is selected, the plug-in follows the amplitude of the selected track, and then applies that envelope to the same track. If multiple tracks are selected, the plug-in follows the amplitude of the selected track, and then applies that envelope to all ...

Re: Audacity recording problem since last W10 major upgrade
Of course I downloaded and installed last versions of driver (one and a half years old) and firmware of that rather old audio interface, made several tests, but nothing changes. Check that the sound card drive being used actually is V1.03rc1. From the Audacity Help menu, select "Audio Device I...

Re: Slight echo - maybe a setting? Help with podcast
It sounds like it is spill-over from speakers / headphones into the mic. You will need to do some testing. If you skype with just "the other guy", can you hear the echo of your voice while making the call? Ask the other guy to take his headphones off and check that there is no sound coming...

Re: Time shifting one channel
You need to split the track into separate left and right channels, then you can work on either of the channels independently. See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spli ... racks.html

Re: Envelope follower / ducker
Interesting - gives me an idea for a new feature.
Currently, if only one track is selected, it throws an error. Rather than that, perhaps a more useful behaviour would be for it to apply the selected track's envelope to itself.

Re: inserting audio in an track
You will need to use a video editor to put the audio back into the video, so perhaps it would be easier to do the whole job in your video editor. Most video editors support simple cut / paste type editing.

Re: I received an aup file and cannot open it
I dont have Audacity this file was sent to me. what do I do to open it? what tools? To open an AUP (AUdacity Project) file, you need to have both parts of the project - the AUP file and the _data folder. Both must be in the same location on your computer. You will also require the Audacity applicat...

Try MP3Splt http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net/mp3splt_page/home.php
An advantage of this application is that it can perform simple edits without decoding the MP3 first.

It's a shame that we don't yet have vertical sliders for Nyquist plug-ins. They would be very appropriate here.Trebor wrote:If I imagine the sliders running vertically : rotated anticlockwise by 90 degrees ...
