Re: Is it possible to show both End and Length of a selectio

I assume that you are referring to the Selection Toolbar (?) it's not like there is a shortage of real estate That depends on how big your monitor is. On a 1024 px wide display, there is just enough room when the time display is hh:mm:ss+samples st.png In response to user feedback, the next version ...

Re: How to select between labels?

I haven't quite gotten used to the workflow of using one label for a region rather than one label for an endpoint. To make a region label, click and drag on the waveform to make a selection. then Ctrl + B to create the label. If you want region labels that exactly follow on from one another, end to...

I don't know how anyone can use those things. For me, they are incredibly frustrating.

Re: SHA2 Cert is expired for windows installer

Thanks for the details. James Crook was the release manager for Audacity 2.1.3, and that's his digital signature for code signing. Code signing certificates usually last for between 1 and 3 years. I presume that he bought a 1 year certificate. A new version of Audacity is due to be released very soo...

Re: Zooming in when there is a selection focuses on the midd

CTRL + Mousewheel. I had trouble with that. It wanders, and then I back out and it doesn’t come back straight. I don't know whether it's common to all Macs, but I find it virtually impossible to do this with a Magic Mouse. On the other hand, my $5 "Advent" wireless mouse on Windows or Lin...

Re: Zooming in when there is a selection focuses on the midd

There's about a million different Zoom options. I use drag-select and zoom into the selection Control-E in Windows. Zoom out a bit Control-3 and Zoom out Full with Control-F. Those were the only three I used for years. If you're on a Mac, sub "Command." I use Ctrl + Mouse Wheel. Occasiona...
