Re: Can't open my .aup folder in recent update

It turns out that somehow my file got corrupted. It was filled with the “NUL” characters. I've heard of that occurring if the computer shuts down before Audacity has finished saving the file. Is it possible that could have happened in this case? I'm also interested in how you know that the file is ...

Re: Steinberg UR-22 with audacity

I've read you post three times, and I still don't get what you are asking. What, if anything, does your question have to do with " Steinberg UR-22 with audacity " (the title of this forum topic)? I do listen to the audio while recording through the headphones but isnt it more confortable o...

Re: Envelope follower / ducker

If used on stereo-tracks, Dynamic mirror uses an average of the two track's envelopes. So for some applications* you will need to apply it to separately to each stereo track, (* e.g. if you want a flat envelope ). however, applying different envelopes to a stereo track can cause a strange panning e...

Is this issue specific to Audacity 2.2.0 RC1?

Re: silence finder

You could probably avoid the problem altogether, and get a better copy of the audio, by downloading the video rather than recording, There are plug-ins available that allow Firefox (web browser) to download videos (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/) If you have FFmpeg for Audacity (see: http...

Were you using a jack adaptor with the high end headphones?

I'm no expert with AppleScript, but as far as I'm aware it has no way of knowing what Audacity is doing.

Re: Need to recover project, all files orphaned?

Another option might be to keep the project file within the folder, That's more or less how I work: my_project - myproject.aup - myprodect_data - - e00 - - - d00 - - - d01 - - - d02 my_project_resources - my_project_notes.txt - my_project_lyrics.pdf - my_project_imported files - - file1.wav - - fil...

Re: Need to recover project, all files orphaned?

I've never used Projects Yes you have. Audacity always works with Projects, never directly on files. You may not have ever "saved" Audacity Projects, but you always use them. The fact that you have never had a show crash, indicates how reliable the Project format is in normal circumstance...
