I presume that you have been using the Transcription Toolbar to change the speed, but that only changes the speed of playback, it does not alter the actual audio at all. To change the audio you need to apply an effect - in this case the Change Speed effect.

what is the easiest way to change the maximum dynamic? Do you mean that you want to change the "amplitude"? If so, then the maximum valid amplitude is 0 dB, which is equivalent to the full track height (+/- 1). The "Amplify" effect with default setting will amplify the selected ...

Completely off-topic, but relating to your video - one of the developers commented that he liked how you had put the meters at the bottom of the main window, and may start copying that himself

I've checked with the developers, and as I expected, it's a bug.
It's not considered so serious as to block the release of Audacity 2.2.0, but it will be added to the release notes in the Audacity wiki (currently being prepared here)

You can't paste audio into a track while Audacity is playing, and you can't import a file while playing. You can record one track while playing another, but only record as one long track (which may be edited later). If you tell us about the use case (why you need to do this), we may be able to sugge...
