Re: Why are PA Jack Modules always loaded?
Audacity does not load up any jack modules - that is left to the the sound system. When Audacity is launched, it probes the computer's sound system to see what is available. The user can then select, using the device toolbar , whatever options are available. If you don't ever want to use pulseaudio-...

Re: Problem with Commands Sequence
If you're referring to "Chains" (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/chains_for_batch_processing_and_effects_automation.html), then it's a bug. Unfortunately this bug was not spotted until shortly after 2.2.0 was released. The good news is that there is due to be a new release (2.2.1) in De...

Re: How to maintain 'bitrate' during Normalizing
The squiggle (tilde) before the number 232 means "about / approximately", which makes sense if it is encoded with variable bit-rate (VBR).

Re: Why are PA Jack Modules always loaded?
So can we please stop PA getting triggered at all when Mixxx is opened? I presume that you mean "Audacity" rather than "Mixxx". pasuspsender is not required for running Audacity. Why do you want to kill PulseAudio? It does cause quite considerable overhead to latency and process...

ExportMP3 in a Chain will use whatever MP3 settings you used last.
To make the Chain export with specific MP3 settings, create a short audio track and export it with the desired settings, then run the Chain.
By the way, 232 kbps is not a standard bit rate for MP3.

Re: Recording my keyboard sound with laptop not working
When i was checking the image of Behringer UCA202, i noticed that there are two (L & R) ports for input but in my case, i will be having a single cable coming from LINE OUT of my keyboard. Will UCA202 work in this case? The headphone socket in your picture looks like a full size 1/4" jack ...

Re: Audacity Manual download link not working
Thanks for that. Unfortunately the released manual cannot be changed, but we are planning to have a new release early December (just a month away), so I'll ensure that it is fixed in time for that. The 2.2.0 manual (ZIP) does not appear to have been uploaded yet. I'll see if I can find out what the ...

Re: Bug: FLAC Multichannel Export seems broken
The problem is due to the track gain sliders on tracks 2 and 4. On export, the additional gain is applied to the audio, which is pushing the level into clipping.

Thanks for the feedback Trebor.
I agree that with real-world audio, the contrast between the two shades of orange is rather low (not so much of an issue with generated tones).

Re: Recording my keyboard sound with laptop not working
About UCA202, i read that it has no mic inputs. Is that true? Yes that's correct. You're not going to find a good microphone USB pre-amp at this price. The specification for the UCA 202 is available on Behringer's website: http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Computer-Audio/Audio-Interfa...
