Re: saving 16-bit WAV results in binary difference

Re: "Relink missing media"
I accidentally renamed one of my aud files, instead of saving project as, and then renamed by data file, but the corruption seems to have already happened. When opening the recording I want to edit it says there are data files missing and asks if they should be treated like silence. But when I open...

Re: Short cuts for chains
is there any way to allocate a keyboard short cut to each individual chain that I create? Currently no, though I agree that would be very useful in some situations. Unfortunately some additional bad news. It was discovered shortly after Audacity 2.2.0 was released that some Chains would cause Audac...

Re: Internal error at Sequence.cpp line 1828
Would it be possible for you to make the affected project available to us? If you don't want to make it public, you could perhaps send me a link as a PM (private message) by clicking on the "PM" button below my name in the topic list.

Re: Internal error at Sequence.cpp line 1828
New information just in: This may be due to a bug in Audacity. I'll hopefully have more information soon, so don't trash that project yet.
I see that you are now using Audacity 2.2.0. Do you know which version of Audacity you originally used when making this project?

Re: Error message
Is there a way to fix the issue, You mean for that specific project? That will depend on whether you are able to locate the project AUP file and "_data" folder. If you can find both of them, copy them both to your Desktop. If they are on dropbox, ensure that you allow time to be fully cop...

Re: Multi track (>2) recording
I have a 4 channel audio interface that uses ASIO, Have you checked to see if you can access all 4 channels with MME, Direct Sound or WASAPI? The "Device Info" (in the Audacity Help menu) lists the available capabilities reported by all compatible audio devices that Audacity can see. If y...

Re: Default Playback volume is too LOUD
As Gale implied in his reply, Audacity does not tell the sound system to change the playback volume unless you adjust the playback volume slider. On launching Audacity, Audacity searches the sound system to see what devices are available. What should happen is that the sound system should tell Audac...

Did you select the option to "Reset Preferences" during the installation? If not, try that.424Hannah wrote:I have tried un-installing and re-installing Audacity
