You will probably hit a problem if Amplitube is using ASIO. ASIO tends to grab exclusive control of the computer sound system, which interferes with non-ASIO applications like Audacity. I've found something peculiar in the project. There are several "zero length" audio clips.
I've observed this previously in some projects, but I'm unsure what causes it - of course this "shouldn't" happen.

As you have probably worked out for yourself, the workaround until the bug is fixed, is to process long tracks in smaller sections.
