If you saved the project at any time, make a backup copy of the AUP file and the _data folder. If the project has never been saved, look in /var/temp/audacity- username , where ' username ' is your log-in name, and check that it is not empty. The full release version of Audacity is due out very soon, so keep an eye open for it and update when it becomes available (it has a couple more bug fixes, and more up to date translations)
