Re: Can't install Lame 3.99.3

I don't see a Save Other option in Files. The "Save Other" menu was in Audacity 2.2.0 only. You must still have the old manual, so something is not quite right. I'd suggest that you uninstall Audacity and Lame completely, then do a fresh install of Audacity 2.2.1, with the recommended EXE...

Re: CALF effects, they do not work.

Is it possible that things are mixed up somehow in your /usr/local/lib/lv2/calf.lv2/ ? I don't think so, but not impossible. I previously had the older Calf plug-ins installed, and told Symantic to do a "complete uninstall". Then, after rebooting, built and installed the new Calf plug-ins...

Re: Normalize not working

The Normalize effect is often misunderstood. What it does is to "normalize" to a given peak level. That is; it will amplify or attenuate (negative amplification) the audio so that the absolute maximum peak reaches a specified level. Note that these two tracks are both normalized to 0 dB (f...

Re: issues with truncated recording

Hi, I probably wasn't very clear on the issue. When I play back the recording in audacity, the sentences are not being completed correctly the last word in most sentences is being cut off which is causing all of the sentences to be incomplete. I understand that that you are not hearing the end of t...

Re: Batch Converting

If you only want to batch convert formats, there are better programs to use. However, to answer your question directly, when exporting with a Chain, Audacity will use the same export settings as were used the last time that it exported in that format. For example, if you want to export as 256 kbps C...

Re: issues with truncated recording

Perhaps it's just your media player that is not playing the files to the end.
Is it essential that your recording end abruptly on the last word, rather than having a bit of trailing silence?

This file has 10 clicks, as high / low pairs. Does the last (low) click play for you?

I didn't quite follow all of that, but perhaps these two plug-ins may be of some use to you: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=97799

Re: profile->export audio->external program

just my last question ? are they avaible in chains ? and at this point your luck runs out ;) No, not available in Chains. Probably the best available solution for this, is to export from Audacity as WAV, and then use one of the many standalone batch converters that are available (there are several ...

Re: Audacity + Audigy2: The solution is

Are you going to tell us how you solved it, or are you saying that the solution was to use a different sound card?
