Re: Problem with Fade Out

Try this: 1) Launch Audacity 2) Open this file: test1.wav (it's just a short test tone) 3) Apply a fade out. You should be able to easily see and hear the fade out effect. 4) Export as an MP3 file and name it: "test2" 5) Close Audacity 6) Restart Audacity 7) Open the "test2.mp3" ...

Re: Rare behaviour with chains

It's not a bug that I'm aware of. Are you able to give step by step instructions for how to reproduce the issue?

Re: Problem with Fade Out

Perhaps the file that you are importing into Audacity is the original unprocessed file, and the file that you are playing in WinAmp / WMP is the file that you exported after editing (ie. two different files). Re: Minimising & maximising Audacity

Re: microphone recording

Hp pavillion desk top, windows 7 Audacity 2.2.1 If you have a nice acoustic guitar, you will be able to get much better recording with a good microphone plugged into a reasonably good microphone pre-amp. The microphone inp...

Re: "Align tracks" question

I am using Windows 10 and version 2.0.3.0 of Audacity. That's a very old version. I don't think it has "Align end to end". The current version is 2.2.1 and is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ With the current version: 1) Ctrl + A (select A...

Re: no sound or record win 10

Topic moved to the Windows forum. I have downloaded 2.1.1 for windows 10 That's an old version. Uninstall it, then get the current version (2.2.1) from here: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ If you are using a USB audio device, ensure that it is connected and working before you start A...
