If you can remember what effects you used, you could make a "Chain", and then apply that Chain to other tracks / files.

"Tracks menu > Mix and Render" will mix down all selected tracks into one continuous track.

In that case you should have a folder:
/user/share/audacity/

We trialed WDM-KS in an old version of Audacity, but found that many sound card WDM-KS drivers were buggy and could cause a complete system crash, so support for WDM-KS has been withdrawn from Audacity. There are no immediate plans to bring it back as we don't have a developer to work on it.

There's nothing to stop you using Audacity 1.2.6, but if you have problems then you're on your own. There would certainly have been some bugs (as there are in all but very simple programs, but it's so long since I've used 1.2.6 (many years) that I don't recall what issues there were.
