Re: Stuck on automatic crash recovery

Now I'm very satisfied, because one problem has gone. “DBConnection.cpp” was fixed in todays update of flatpak. That's great news :) Could be something wrong with /tmp folder as I saw at other forum Possibly a permissions / sandbox issue? By default, Audacity (as written in the official Audacity Gi...

Re: Remove vocals from audio ?

BUT AUDACITY VER 3.0.0 HAS PROBLEMS WITH THIS PLUGIN. The "Vocal Reduction and Isolation" effect has a compatibility problem with Audacity 3.0.0. I've fixed it for the next Audacity release. For most people it's probably best to wait for the next release, but for the more technically mind...

Maybe an issue with how Audacity treats inputs from other languages?
It seems to be a combination of factors:
1. Languages that use 'Unicode surrogate pairs' (characters with more than 2 bytes).
2. A recent Windows update.

Re: Enhancement for Macros

So maybe there is a glitch at the first step? I've probably used a count starting from 0 in one place, and starting from 1 in another. Should be an easy fix. Also, it would be nice to have a counter in the dialog box that indicates which step of the macro was either just executed or will be execute...

Re: FFMpeg ??

If you're a long time user of Audacity, you may well have had an older version of FFmpeg that is not compatible with current versions of Audacity.

Re: FFMpeg ??

OK, thanks. You do not have a compatible version of FFmpeg installed. Let's install it. (The full instructions are here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_ffmpeg_for_windows.html but I'll go through the salient points one post at a time.) First is to download the correct file. Go to thi...

Re: FFMpeg ??

When I click libaries, it shows as having the avformat-55.dll That sounds like you already have FFmpeg installed. Let's check that. 1. If Audacity is running, exit Audacity. 2. Launch Audacity. 3. "Help menu >Diagnostics > Show Log". 4. Either save the log and attach it to your reply, or ...

Re: Audacity 3 much slower when saving file

I just updated to 3.0 ona windows 10 machine and its taking it over 20 minutes to open an old file! Run a thorough anti-virus scan on your computer, then disconnect from the Internet and try running Audacity with your anti-virus disabled. If that enables Audacity to run properly, then you need to c...
