Re: install Waves Multimaximizer
With a list price of $549 (Sale price $99), I doubt that many Audacity users will have Waves Multimaximizer, so you may not get many (any) solutions offered.
Note that Audacity does not support iLock. Plug-ins requiring iLock authorization will not work with Audacity.

Re: installation on High Sierra from source
Audacity is one project, WxWidgets is another. WxWidgets is the cross-platform toolkit used by Audacity. On macOS, Audacity requires a patched version of WxWidgets. There are two options for obtaining the patched version of WxWidgets. The recommended way is to download the patched version from https...

Re: installation on High Sierra from source
But even worse, there is no file called "build_wxwidgets" anywhere... It is in the Audacity source code. You can see it here: https://github.com/audacity/audacity/tree/master/mac If you don't have that file, then you don't have the full Audacity source code. Where did you get the Audacity...

just down loaded audacity From where? We don't supply binaries for Linux. Which Linux distribution are you using? Also, it is highly recommended to not use an email address as a user name even if it's not your real email address. Better to register with your real email address so that you can recei...

Re: Activation context generation failed
This issue has been around for quite a while, and while it does not actually cause any problem, it is an annoyance. A fix for it was added yesterday, so hopefully it will not appear in the next release, which is due out around the end of the month. I believe the problem was because the manifest was ...

Re: 2.2.1 Install corrupted toolbar and preferences
The problem with the toolbar in 2.1.3 is not related to Audacity 2.2.1. You perhaps didn't notice before, or perhaps you are using a different screen resolution, but the chopped off end of the the toolbar is just a problem with 2.1.3 which is fixed in 2.2.1.

Re: How to record Skype and Google Hangouts
On Mac it is possible to record Skype or Google Hangouts by creating an "Aggregate device" in the Mac "Audio MIDI Setup", and use SoundFlower as one input, and your physical audio device as another input. Although "possible", there are a number of drawbacks: 1) SoundFlo...

Re: In recording of a SNS chat, voice from MIC is very low
From your comment, it implies Audacity has the potential supporting multiple sound devices, It doesn't. Audacity only supports recording from one device at a time. If that one device supports multiple channels, then Audacity can record up to the number of channels that the device has, but only one ...
