Does the problem happen with just that one project, or all projects?
How big is the project and how long is the selected audio?
Do the "High Pass Filter" and "Low Pass Filter" effects work?

That should be all sorted out for you by the person that packaged it.rmlrml wrote:Maybe I don't have the right gtk-related package installed.

Re: Changing frequencies of a song to unheard frequencies
can I convert the frequencies of a song to frequencies which cannot be heard e.g in the range of 30-50Hz? The range 30 to 50 Hz is less than an octave. That's hardly enough bandwidth for even a simple tune. If your audio playback system is capable of going down to 30 Hz, the result will not be inau...

Re: Possible bug/limit in hum remover filter
This is a problem that affects a lot of Nyquist plug-ins (but not all). Unlike built-in effects, Nyquist effects do not have arbitrary access to the audio data - they can read a track selection once, from the start of the selection to the end of the selection. Some processes, notable those that requ...

Re: visual interface unusable
I don't have Sid installed so I can't make specific suggestions, but you could try tweaking the Interface / Theme settings in Audacity to suit your Desktop theme settings: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/inte ... ences.html

Re: Export to WAV 16 not saving correct bitrate
Bit-rate = sample rate x bits per sample x number of channels. Set the Project Rate to 44100 and then export as 16-bit wav. The bit-rate for 16-bits per sample, 44100 Hz sample rate, stereo = 16 x 44100 x 2 = 1411.2 kbps. The correct format for a standard audio CD is 16-bits per sample, 44100 Hz sam...

You have accidentally enabled "Sync-Lock".
Which exact version of Audacity do you have (look in "Help > About Audacity")
