Info about FORMAT command: http://www.audacity-forum.de/download/edgar/nyquist/nyquist-doc/xlisp/xlisp-ref/xlisp-ref-121.htm Note that for Nyquist in Audacity, *standard-output* is the debug output. This is the destination when using (format T "text"). To print to a message dialog, the &qu...

Re: Can't copy selected data from output window to clipboard

Copying text from a message dialog to the system clipboard works on Linux. It doesn't work on Windows. I've not tested on Mac, but from your previous post it sounds like it doesn't on Mac. This isn't a fault of Audacity, it is simply how the OS interacts with wx dialogs. Text in a debug window shoul...

Re: change pitch in vocal

Topic split. I am having a similar problem We prefer to deal with each question in a separate forum thread because it quickly becomes very confusing if the issues are not identical . Please give step by step instructions to reproduce the issue, and what exactly the problem is that we are looking for.

Re: vocal removal using 2.2.1

2. split stereo file 3. invert right channel track 4. covert both left and right tracks to mono The "Vocal Remover" effect will do that all in one step. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/vocal_remover.html Alternatively you can use the "Remove Vocals" option in the newer "...

Re: Mix down redundancy?

This is the way I handle it when my project is complete and ready for mix down / export: Ctrl + A (select all), then "Mix and Render to new track". This mixes the project down to a single track Solo the new track, and Normalize to -1 dB Listen to the track and check that I'm happy with it....

Re: New OS+New Audacity =glitching HELP

Please try the suggestions on this page in the manual . This is specific to Mac, and is the most common cause of glitching on modern Macs. On other platforms (Windows / Linux), the usual approach would be to increase the buffer length, but Apple did something a few years ago to the Mac sound system...

Re: Is there an 'A' Weighting option in the spectrum analysi

There is no built-in A weighting filter, but you could create one in the Equalization effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/equalization.html See this page about managing Eq curves: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/equalization.html#manage and this page about custom curves (includes a link to...

Re: change pitch in vocal

Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".
Please give exact steps to reproduce the problem.

Note that effects are greyed out if there are no audio tracks in the project.
