I know that. Perhaps you misunderstood my reply.styks wrote:Hi, the schiit isn't an amplifier. It's an A D converter between the amp recorder out and PC usb.

Re: Audacity 2.1.21 Can you listen while recording a vinyl.
Most USB turntables provide both USB out (for the computer) and a pair of RCA "phono" plugs to plug into an amp. The idea is that you record via the USB while (optionally) listening via the analog "phono plug" connectors. If your turntable doesn't have analog outputs. or if you d...

Re: latency problem
The buffer setting should normally be about "100".
The setting to adjust is the "Track shift after record" (previously called "Latency correction"). See here for details: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/devi ... ences.html

Re: Building an optical pickup using a photodiode
Electrical noise similar to a noisy electric guitar pickup. You mean "hum" / "buzz"? If so, the first measures to take are: Use batteries to power the circuit rather than a mains transformer. If you have to use a mains transformer, you will need to use adequate smoothing and vol...

Start a new Audacity project with the sample rate set to 44100 or 48000 (try both).

Re: Unable to install ERA-R VST plug-in
Audacity's VST support is limited. Some VST plug-ins that are NOT supported are: 64-bit VST plug-ins, (they have to be 32-bit). "protected" plug-ins that have not been "activated" (see the plug-in documentation). iLok, or most other plug-in verification "protections" (a...
