Re: FFmpeg installed and located but not useable
To test if FFmpeg is working in Audacity, try "Exporting" some audio from Audacity as "M4A" (or "AAC"). "File menu > Export > Export Audio" then select "M4A" as the file type. If you are able to export as M4A and AAC, then FFmpeg is working and the p...

Re: audacity-macos-3.0.0-dmg Virustotal warning
Can you tell us what is causing the alert? What can I tell you? 57 anti-virus checkers, including all of the big names say that it's safe. They are right. One that I've never heard of disagrees. Max Secure has had their own problems with false positives in the past: https://superuser.com/questions/...

Re: Missing option to build with internal sqlite library
On Debian based distributions you can remove the "-dev" packages for the system versions. The -dev packages contain the software headers and are only required when building. If the system -dev packages are not available, then Audacity will build with the local version. Alternatively I thin...

Re: Measure the volume of the partials
Is it possible to obtain this data programmatically, inside the Nyquist plugin? Yes, but not easily. Nyquist does not have access to the internals of other effects, so you would need to calculate the FFT within Nyquist, which is a very "advanced" topic. There's an "FFT Tutorial"...

Re: Audacity 3.0.0 on Windows 10 struggling
The only thing that we know can be slower is closing projects and exiting Audacity - as the new project database structure does its clean-up compaction then to get rid of unused temporary workspace I've recently been testing with very large projects (5+ hours) and found there can be very slow clean...

Re: unable to parse project information
Is there any workaround or solution for this? There's a workaround offered by Microsoft here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/you-might-have-issues-on-windows-10-version-20h2-and-windows-10-version-2004-when-using-some-microsoft-imes-63696506-47d2-9997-0b72-41a68e328692 (scroll down to &q...

Save that page.
To do that in Firefox:
1. Press "Alt" to make the Firefox menus appear.
2. "File menu > Save Page As..."
The default file name is the correct name.
