Re: Slow Down Song Speed

Use the "Change Tempo" effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/change_tempo.html
If you need to slow it down a lot, it may work best (and certainly quickest) with "high quality stretching" turned off (not selected), but test both to see which works best.

Re: dll plugin in Linux

VST plug-ins for Linux must be made for Linux. VST plug-ins built for Windows only work on Windows. It's very unusual to find VSTs built for Linux, they are very rare, but there are loads of LADSPA and LV2 plug-ins, and Audacity's own "Nyquist" plug-ins are fully cross-platform.

If so, look in the Windows Sound Control Panel and check that it's not hidden / disabled.

Re: NEED HELP URGENTLY! - "Out Of Memory" Pop up!!

Transferred from the other topic : there are probably about 150 tracks in total That's a lot of tracks. Audio has to be buffered before it can play, which means copying a bit of audio from each track into memory (I don't know which memory Windows uses for this, but it could be limited in size). Are ...

Re: automatic silence generator

yes says it supports PLAYLISTS In that case, you can split the long recording into multiple short recordings (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/export_multiple.html and http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/regular_interval_labels.html), and join them together (so they play in the correct sequen...
