Re: Saving edited Metadata tags
When saving metadata templates, custom tags (left column) are only saved if they have a tag value (right column). The tag value can be just a place holder, such as a space character, but there has to be something in the right hand column.

Re: Improving gui workflows
Other than myself it is rare for developers to visit the forum, though people involved with QA, documentation and testing frequently participate in the forum. This "Adding Features" section of the forum is the place to suggest new features / enhancements. Ideas suggested here may be discus...

Look in the Windows Sound Control Panel. Do you see recording and playback devices enabled? What devices are enabled?

Re: Recording without any speakers or microphone (windows 10
Audacity is not suitable for use on a server. Audacity is not security hardened, so if the server is connected to a public network, Audacity may expose security vulnerabilities on the server. Also, Audacity requires that the system has a fully working sound system (there must be an I/O audio device).

There are some additional filters here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Filters Audacity also ships with this set of filters, but not enabled by default: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/classic_filters.html There's also this set of filters: https://forum.audacityteam.org...

Re: Crashes on close
3) Edit bit - amplify If you process the entire track, then the project will no longer be using alias files, which seem to be a requirement to reproduce the crash. I suspect a race condition, between cleaning up the "OD Import" and shutting down. If the importer has finished before Audaci...

Re: Crashes on close
Yes I can reproduce the crash in Audacity 2.2.2, but not in "debug" builds, which most of the developers use, (and is probably why this has not been spotted earlier).
I shall log this on the bug tracker, so hopefully it will be fixed in the next release.
