Re: Constant "Not Responding"
We've noticed a problem in Audacity 3.0.2 if file names, or the directory in which the project is saved, has any apostrophe (single quote) characters. For Audacity 3.0.2, avoid using that character in an file or folder name. This problem has been fixed for the next version of Audacity.

Re: Constant "Not Responding"
Should I just try to export it, if it will do so, and finish any edits if I can in a new file? I'd suggest that you try that. Preferably export as "WAV 32-bit float". This format is very much like the format that Audacity uses internally and will be a perfect copy of the track. (16-bit WAV is "clos...

Re: Recording waveform is tiny
An ideal height when recording is like this: https://manual.audacityteam.org/m/images/d/d1/tcp_and_vs_mono_track_track_with_select_button.png This allows a bit of space in case there are any unexpectedly high peaks, which is important because "overshooting" causes permanent damage that can't be full...

In that case, have a look here: https://musescore.org/en/node/302532DC_Dusk_King wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 4:51 pmI have musescore and it's what I've been using, but I've been wanting to expand a bit
Reaper may also be a good option if you like learning new things.

Re: Is there a way to use soundfonts in Audacity?
Audacity does not directly support soundfonts, and Audacity's support for MIDI is very limited. For working with MIDI, MuseScore is a much better option. You can of course do the MIDI work in one program, then export / render the MIDI to a WAV (audio) file and perform additional editing / processing...

Re: Submitting to ACX - navigation problem
Audacity has no association with Amazon, so we only know as much as is in the public domain.

Re: Error Mess: Failed to Set Safe Mode
Try moving "Fatboy Drum Beats.aup3" to your "Documents" folder, and then open it from there.

Re: Submitting to ACX - navigation problem
Because both ACX and Audible are part of Amazon.Bert Coules wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 8:36 amI'm still baffled as to why the ACX Contact Us link takes you to Audible.
"Audible" is the retail outlet for Amazon audiobooks.
"ACX" is the audiobook creators portal for Audible.

Re: My sound graphics disappeared!
Which version of Audacity are you using?
If you are using Audacity 2.4.2 or earlier and you have moved or deleted the project "_data" folder, you must undelete / move it back to where it was.
