Re: Export/Save to location where file is located.
The way that I see it is that your feature request is essentially a matter of convenience. It would be a jolly nice convenience for anyone using Audacity as an external editor for a DAW, as it avoids the need to navigate to the DAW's data folder on export, but still only a matter of convenience. On ...

Re: Adding channel names into OGG files
Your answers here in the feature request often feel like dismissive and uninterested. A little frustating for the inquirer Sorry about that. I'm actually taking the time to write a response because I am interested ;) (It's very difficult to convey "tone" in written text). And with the AUD...

Re: Export/Save to location where file is located.
Open the file in Audacity from the DAW. (File goes offline in DAW) Edit file in audacity. Save (export audio from audacity) with one click. (no manually looking for the file path). For that to work, the imported file would need to become the default export file. I don't think it's likely that the d...

Re: Adding channel names into OGG files
Is this already a "NO"? No it's not. This is discussion. ;) The current situation is that Audacity does not have "per track" metadata, only "per project" metadata. That's not carved in stone, but currently there are no developers working in this area. That could change...

Re: generation quality loss in MP3
Actually, since I do all in WAV, I can export stuff, then re-import it as WAV To be very nit-picky, a normal 16-bit WAV file is "almost" perfect. Audacity uses an even more precise format internally, with twice as many bits per sample - "32-bit float". If you want a perfect roun...

Do the software in any way share or save information online? No it doesn't. For example is the audio files or session data available for software developer? No it isn't. If you want to share any information with us you will have to either post it here on this forum, or send the information in an em...

Re: How to remove the sound of the "push button" from an audition of "The Voice"?
There is a tool called spleeter that's supposed to un-mix to some extent but I haven't tried it. I've tried it. It is a very "technical" tool. In some cases it can do a very impressive job, but in other cases it is completely ineffective - it depends on the audio. Spleeter is available he...
