Re: Change Tempo 2.0.6 vs 2.2.0
In the new version, the "High Quality" setting uses the same algorithm as "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift". This often (but not always) gives better results than the "ordinary" algorithm. The ordinary algorithm ("High Quality" not selected) is identical in the...

Re: Unzip manual to a folder I don't have permissions to...!
It is normal for authentication to be required when installing something. Did you try using "sudo" as described on that page? You can unzip the manual into your user space (in your HOME directory or any sub-director of HOME) without elevated privileges, but then you will not be able to ope...

I would strongly advise that you check the validity of your Audacity download before disabling your antivirus.
To check the validity, you need to check that it had the correct SHA-256 checksum, as described here: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/o ... wnloading/

Sounds like you want a "multi-band compressor". "Calf Studio Gear" includes a multi-band compressor, but some versions crash in Audacity. https://calf-studio-gear.org/ "Zam-plugins" include a multi-band compressor, but I've not tried it myself. http://www.zamaudio.com/?...

Re: Not able to install audacity
Hi all, I'm trying to install audacity on my windows 7 computer, but avast antivirus keeps detecting it as malware and stopping my installation process I've got a fully updated (free version) of Avast anti-virus, and it does not think Audacity is malware. That suggests that either your antivirus is...
