Re: Digital Disease ^ Limit the difference between two sampl

@ steve: The multiband compressor is able to reduce gain? Like a standard compressor, a multi-band compressor reduces the gain when the level exceeds a specified threshold. The difference with a multi-band compressor is that specified frequency bands may be compressed differently. In you case, you ...

Re: ARSS always generates silent sound track out of BMP imag

We are not able to offer support for third party applications.
Also, ARSS is now obsolete and has been superseded by Photosounder. Their support forum is here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=155

Re: Rhythm track suggestion - Note types

For example, there are various musical genres worldwide, but mainly on Balkans with unewen rhythms, like 5/8, 7/8 and 9/8. Rhythm Track supports any number of beats per bar from 1 to 20. What does this have to do with note types? What's the difference between a crochet "tick" and a quaver...

Re: Change Tempo 2.0.6 vs 2.2.0

The cause of that difference must be due something else, because the code for the "normal" stretching has not been modified for a very long time.

Re: Behringer UM2 w/ Shure SM58 mic - quiet with noise

It's a common practice to apply "De-Essing" to everything to get rid of that crispness. No. It's fairly common for de-essing to be applied to recordings that exhibit excessive sibilance. Condenser mics are no more or less susceptible to excessive sibilance than dynamic mics. Sibilance typ...

Re: Bug in FFmpeg conversion?

I used Change speed ONLY to verify the exact length of the file, maybe there is an easier way Double click on the track to select it, then look in the "Selection Toolbar" https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/selection_toolbar.html By default, the final time box shows the time at the end of...

Re: "Confirm Close" Window, and others like it:(

after adding a track, and selecting it to procede to use the timer record function You don't need to add a track. When Timer Record starts, a new track is added automatically. The window reads "Are you sure you wish to close?" In Audacity 2.2.2 the message reads "Are you sure you wis...

Re: Audacity 2.2.2 not detecting dropouts

Thanks. But when a dropout occurs due to buffer latency, should that, theoretically, be flagged in 2.2.2? Drop out detection is a new feature in 2.2.2 and has been revised in the upcoming 2.3.0 version. The documentation for this feature is still quite sparse, but as I understand it, in Audacity 2....

The official releases of Audacity are currently 32-bit only. 64-bit builds should be available soon, but there have been no official 64-bit builds to date.

Re: Can I do this in Audacity?

Which version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help menu > About Audacity"). The current version is 2.2.2, which is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ If you are using an old version, you may need to press the Stop button (editing not ava...
