Re: PowerPoint with Audacity
I like the points that you make about 1) Keeping high quality uncompressed versions of the recordings (this is something that we highly recommend for most use cases) 2) Linking to the audio files so that you can update the audio without having to modify the PP. Re: Which type of microphone to use?

Re: I can never find the topic group I need to post my question
The "General Error" message is probably because the forum software was put into maintenance mode today for a major update. For the "Audio Device Info", if you click the "OK" button the info can be saved as a text file, then you can attach the text file to your post. Ple...

Re: Converting an ADPCM .txt file to ADPCM .raw for Importin
"Import Raw" is for importing "audio data", not for importing "text data". It IS possible to import a text file as "Raw", but the result will almost certainly be just noise as text data is not audio. It is possible to export sample values from an audio file as...

Re: newbie seeks recommendations
Built-in sound card are notorious for bad sound quality (even on many expensive computers). The sound quality on my i7 laptop is dreadful. USB microphones can provide cost effective improvements, but are still quite limited - a frequent complaint being that they are too quiet unless you are yelling ...

Re: Recording Live Concerts and Festivals - Need Help!
That is, if Ctrl+M was only pressed "between" the songs in the set, the Export Multiple function would include the opening song as the first track in the set. Is this true, and if so, where does one find the setting? It's in the " Export Multiple " dialog. Look for the option &q...
