Re: Snap-to Disabling Itself

We're going a little "off-topic" here, but it sounds like your original issue is now resolved, so ... Samples within each audio clip are quantized to exact sample periods relative to the start of the audio clip. Currently, the start of the audio clip can be anywhere (not quantized). This m...

Re: Adding Plugins

Need to do some investigating as it's not clear why this is happening. If Audacity is open, shut it down and restart it. Then look in "Help > Diagnostics > Show Log". Copy and paste the entire contents into your reply. In "Edit menu > Preferences > Effect", all of the options sho...

Re: FFT windowing time and frequency resolution

Are you referring to something in the Audacity manual? If so, please add a link to the relevant page of the on-line manual and quote the exact text so that I can find it on the page.

I have read on the internet elsewhere in the past, that if you go digitally as I am via toslink etc, it is possible to keep the markers during transfer.
Not with Audacity. I don't know if any other programs can do that or not.

Re: Adding Plugins

For some reason you don't have any Nyquist plug-ins listed at all. That shouldn't happen.

How did you install Audacity (describe step by step instructions so that I can install exactly the same version of Audacity in exactly the same way as you did).

Re: Adding Plugins

Try resetting Audacity completely: First, close Audacity, then, Go to "Users/<your user name>/AppData/Roaming/audacity/" and delete the 3 files: audacity.cfg pluginregistry.cfg pluginsettings.cfg then restart Audacity and you should find "Crossfade Tracks" in the "Effect&quo...
