Re: "Normalize" to 0 by hot key.

You can set-up a hotkey via Edit -> Preferences -> Keyboard but I think that will only open the effect. Yes you can do that, and as you say, it does just open the effect. The effect will open with the settings that were last used, so if those settings are correct, pressing the Enter key will apply ...

Re: DEL key bugged?

Are you sure you are using the same DEL key? (my laptop has two DEL keys). If it worked in a previous version, then as far as I'm aware it should work now. Try resetting the keyboard preferences to "Default -> Full" and see if it comes back (See near the bottom of this page: https://manual...

Re: Recording scrambled and speeding up - when changes spaces?

We don't generally recommend using aggregate devices as they are frequently unreliable. However, we know that some users are able to use aggregate devices successfully, so it's one of those "your mileage may vary" situations. A couple of things that "may" help: 1) Completely clos...

Re: Audacity crashes when selecting Effect > Equalization

I think this may be due to a bug which has now been fixed.
Although not generally recommended for production work, if you feel adventurous you could try this "Audacity 2.3.0 alpha" version here: https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity-devel.html/
Let us know how you get on.

The "attribution" is just saying who posted the first post in that topic.

I'll delete that topic as autobee ([email protected]) has been banned for spamming the forum.

Re: DEL key bugged?

DEL keys are a bit peculiar. How they are mapped can vary depending on the type of keyboard layout. If you can use a different key or combination of keys, then I'd suggest that you do that.

Re: Spectral selection editing with hard boundaries

Filters do not have absolutely hard boundaries. As can be seen in this description of the High Pass filter effect, filters "roll-off" from the defined filter frequency rather that cutting off dead at that frequency. If you could post a short sample in WAV format, of the problem that you ar...

Re: Disappearing Labels

I've split this to a new topic as the issue in that 2014 topic is probably no longer relevant. Generally it is least confusing to start a fresh topic for each issue. It appears that those labels >255 characters long are dropped from export. I've just tested with the following labels, and the problem...

Re: noise gate error "nyquist returned the value: [attack time]"

The noise gate works perfectly for me. What do I need to do to reproduce the problem? (talk me through, step by step, what you are doing so that I can do exactly the same).
