Pulse: Did give me anything even at 1.1 secs
Is that a typo? Did you mean "Did not give me anything"?
What exactly happens if you try to play a 30 second audio track with "Pulse" selected as the output device?

Re: Is it me or is it a bug?

By the way, I don't intend to sound critical of ALSA. The guys that develop ALSA drivers do a phenomenal job, providing working drivers for thousands of sound cards, often with very little technical documentation from the hardware manufacturers. Note that for Windows and Mac you often have to manual...

Re: Is it me or is it a bug?

The first box in the device toolbar is the "audio host system". On Linux this is usually ALSA, though there could be options for OSS and/or Jack Audio System if they are installed and running (usually only ALSA). The recording and playback "devices" depend on what devices the hos...

Re: A little question about noob

Where did the file come from? Does the imported 7:32 play correctly? How do you know that the file is 32 mins...

Re: Is it me or is it a bug?

If the selection is less than the buffer length, and the sound card driver does not flush its input buffer through the audio ha...

Re: How to get started

In old versions of Audacity, the default key binding for recording to a new track was "r" and for recording to the current track was "shift + r". This has now been reversed as recording to the current track is used more frequently. So now, the key "r" records to the cur...

Re: Full on clipping with 2.2.2 and windows 10

Ensure that the "Line / Phono" switch on the UFO202 matches the output of your turntable. If your turntable has its own pre-amp, then the switch needs to be set to "Line". You may need to turn down the recording level very low in the Windows Sound Control Panel (and ensure that W...

Re: Normalize Chain different from Normalize effect

I'm guessing that the offset is because you exported as MP3. Did you?
MP3 always has a bit of padding at the beginning - it's a limitation of the MP3 format.
