Re: Option to copy audio position information
I would like to be able to copy the value of this field (no matter what format it is) to the clipboard. To do what with it? This short code can be run in the Nyquist Prompt effect to give the start of a selection in seconds (the caveat being that the Nyquist Prompt effect requires playback to be st...

Re: A new Instance of Audacity on every new file load? WTF?
Audacity does not operate directly on audio files. Audacity works with "Audacity Projects". When you "open" an audio file, what you are actually doing is opening a new Audacity Project, and "importing" an audio file into it. Data from the audio file is copied into the A...

Re: Looking for recommendations
I am looking for someone to help develop a audio modulation and filtering solution What are you wanting this "solution" to solve? Are you looking for someone to write custom software / a custom plug-in? Is this a commercial proposition, or are you just looking for advice / guidance / sugg...

Re: Album Artist field is not populating Export AAC
Unfortunately there are few real standards for metadata. There are well defined standards for metadata in OGG and Flac files, but for other formats there are many variations and non-standardised implementations. The only way to guarantee that tags will show up correctly in specific software, is to u...

Re: Trouble achieving noise floor
Please post two short audio clips in WAV format with your voice, including at least on gap (background noise when you are not speaking. The first clip should be a raw, totally unprocessed recording, exactly as recorded, The second should be your finished, processed audio that passes the ACX Check. S...

Re: Matching Volumes in New Recordings to Older Recordings
If I'm boosting the older songs to peak and throttling the newer songs back, why are the newer songs still louder? This article explains the problem: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudness_war "Peak level" is a poor measure of "loudness". A better measure is "RMS level"...

It's a synthesizer sound. It reminds me of an early Casio keyboard.

Re: Need help looping song
It is a very bad idea to post your email address on a public forum, especially on busy forums. There's a lot of spammers and scammers that trawl forums looking for email addresses to target.
What's the problem? We can advise for free.

Re: unable to overdub
I just plugged a condenser mic in and everything works.. Everything seems to be working.. I`ve had so much trouble trying to get this to work that I uninstalled the driver..at least I thought I did...when I did that everything seemed to work fine..which makes no sense...however the Zedi control pan...

Re: MP3 artifact removal
44100 Music CD sampling rate isn't accurate past about 17KHz Please stop saying that, it is not true. It may have been true 30 years ago, but sync filters have left that limitation way back in history. With Audacity it is easy to prove that in the digital domain, 44.1 kHz sample rate is good to bet...
