Re: One channel lower volume than the other
I am recording audio from a private video meeting software which does not have an audio / video export feature (always recorded together) What format does the video meeting software save in? If you have FFmpeg installed for Audacity, Audacity is able to directly import audio from many video formats...

Re: Problem recording with audacity
Does your computer also have a built-in sound card? If so, use that and configure it as described here, using "WASAPI loopback": https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tut ... ndows.html

Re: Export individual label when multiple labels in project
Is this stable for many label tracks and/or long audio files? Perfectly stable for me. I assume that you make regular backups? I'm surprised by this. Based on my experience with software in general, I would expect the currently selected label track to be exported (or either the first or last, if no...

Re: Making voices audible in recording of meeting
If voices are quieter than background noise, then it will probably not be possible to hear what is being said. If the entire recording is too quiet, then you can use the Amplify effect. If parts of the recording are loud and other parts are quiet, then you can even out the volume level with the AGC ...

Re: Selection too long for analysis
I'm surprised that RMS Normalize works with longer performances. It should have the same problems that ACX Check does. They use the same type of programming. The last couple of versions of RMS Normalize uses a new feature that allows it find the RMS level without loading the entire selection into R...

Re: removing incessant, metronomic clicking
Periodically when recording 2 inputs on my Scarlett 2i2, a recording will suddenly become infected with this beating and I have no idea what prompts it. The clicks are almost exactly 0.094 seconds apart and increase in volume with the sound of my voice. Mac OSX (2015) That sounds like the infamous ...

Re: Band compresor
An interesting use of the Pop Mute effect. I did some experiments with this type of de-esser some time ago, and at least for some voices it can work very well. I presume that when using it for de-essing, you would set the filter frequency fairly high, according to the centre frequency of the sibilan...
