Re: WAV files recorded with FTR Audio
By default, Audacity will attempt to import WAV files using its built-in PCM importer. If you have FFmpeg for Audacity installed, then you can force Audacity to use FFmpeg rather than its built in importer. To do that: "File > Import > Audio" Then in the import dialg, set the format filter...

Re: Help needed modifying Limiter2.ny plugin
Funnily enough, the "Brick Wall Limiter" code is part of limiter.nyThunderbolt1000T wrote: ↑Wed Aug 29, 2018 7:43 pmbut I found another plugin called Brick Wall Limiter which does what I need.
It provides the "Hard Limit" option.

Re: Implement a logarithmic time scale for scientific analysis of spectrograms
M-m… then, following this logic, the existing Spectrogram Track View would be falling in the same category of 'little practical benefit' Not at all. Spectrogram view has many uses in audio editing. Probably the most common use being in detecting clicks that need to be repaired. So, theoretically, p...

Re: Delay with bpm and panning
That fixes the issues that I mentioned, but do you really want the low pass filter to use the "Lower frequency for the filter" (default 300 Hz)? When I first tried the low-pass option, I thought that it broke the delay part of the effect because I could no longer hear the echo. It didn't b...

Re: Moving the selection boundaries while playback is underway
The closest that we get to that at present is in "Quick Loop Play" (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/timeline.html#tqp) Updating loop regions on the fly is very tricky as Audacity is running in parallel threads for display, audio I/O, and disk I/O, all of which have to be kept synchroni...

Re: Implement a logarithmic time scale for scientific analysis of spectrograms
No doubt that it "could" be done - Audacity is just a computer program that manipulates data - but I see very little practical benefit for Audacity as an "audio editor" (which is Audacity's raison d'être). If you need this type of functionality in the foreseeable future, then you...

Re: Remove a specifc word in the entire file
Can we have a way to automatically pick up this and replace with silence? That would be far beyond the capability of an audio editor (and no, Audacity cannot do that). Consider these two phrases: "It was a beautiful summer" "Add the two numbers to get the sum er" For a computer ...

Try rebooting your computer, and then.. If you have Skype (or other VOIP), shut it down completely (Skype automatically starts up in the background). Connect the mixer to the computer and wait for a few moments. Windows should tell you that it has connected the device Open the Windows Sound Control ...

That's a strange path. Are you sure that is correct?

Re: Cannot open. aup project
How, exactly, did you do that?
Did you:
1) Launch Audacity
2) "File menu > Open" and select the project file.
