Re: What is the deal?
The earlier version (2. something) did not have any problem. When was that? 10 minutes ago or weeks / months ago? (If there have been any Windows updates since you used Audacity 2.x, that could account for the change, in which case we are looking at getting Audacity to work with the computer system...

Re: Ultrasonic Recording
I expect I can crimp with Neutrik connectors, at least I hope I can. Because microphones use such low level signals, I would recommend soldering crimp connectors rather than relying on the crimping. Crimp + solder is much more reliable than just crimp (and very easy to solder a crimped connector). ...

Re: Audacity Fedora "Failed to find compatible ffmpeg libraries"
Compiling Audacity with "-audacity_use_ffmpeg=loaded" works for me:

Re: Ultrasonic Recording
I'm not sure I understand how to calculate the voltage from the spec. The sensitivity says "-53dB ±3dB @ 74dB SPL". So, I think the sensitivity is at 74dB rather than the standard 94dB? And this is presumably at 1kHz, there is a drop in sensitivity at ultrasonic freqs, according to Knowle...

Re: Closing the project from macro
When i have added command "close" into macro script manually (in txt file), the Audacity crashed. I don't think it can be done in a Macro, at least not without crashing, because the macro is running as the current project and cannot complete if the project is closed. You can create a new ...

Try the "Power saving" options in Windows settings.

Re: Newbie question: Voice editing
When I shift the voice up an octave, the result sounds like the chipmunks' voice even when I sing with a low voice. Even Antares AutoTune can't make an octave shift sound natural, and they throw $millions and thousands of hours of developer time at the problem. A generic pitch shifting plug-in has ...

Re: Arc-DarK theme (Arc-Dark with DarK icons)
Strange to hear this... the help button has a big, bold "?" in it (it's clearly visible in all versions I uploaded here)... I'm not sure what he meant, I'm just best guessing. But maybe the deveolper is testing the theme against a bright GTK theme, so the "?" wouldn't be visible...
