Re: Transport control between windows
Thanks for the description. I agree, not a common workflow. It sounds like an ideal solution in your case would be some kind of "project manager" that allowed you to quickly view / control / access multiple projects and files at a glance. A similar query came up recently where someone was ...

Re: Select Track button - proposal
I was hoping for a quick win with just this simple suggestion. Appreciated, but it needs to be decided exactly how big the button will be, and where it goes, which I don't think can be decided without considering the other elements of the panel, (at least to some degree). We also need to decide whe...

Re: Transport control between windows
we end up needing about 5 or 6 different (very small, but sometimes up to even 10+) projects open at once Out of interest, why do you need many projects open at once? As for using multi-track, that becomes a problem, because then you'd need to separate them BACK out again before sending them off to...

Re: 3 separate tones to 3 separate speakers
Apparently, VLC media player supports multichannel playback with appropriate hardware. I am unable to test this as my sound card is only stereo, but VLC is an excellent (and free) media player: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Audacity is an audio editor, not a video editor.

Re: Using *SCRATCH* to process a selection of several tracks
Storing the *track* sound in *scratch* is a little bit tricky. Internally, Nyquist uses pointers, so when attaching the track sound to *scratch*, Nyquist is actually just adding a pointer, which points to the sound. If the return value from processing a track does not reference the sound, then the s...

Re: Crosshair Cursor in Spectral View
It could be added as a "feature request", but using the "Spectral Selection toolbar" gives a numeric readout, which is a lot more accurate than trying to read the frequency from the tiny vertical scale. Also, if you enable "Advanced vertical zooming" (https://manual.aud...

Re: Audacity records Bass at wrong pitch
Any clue to this? I have the exact same problem with 2.1.3. LINE 6 UX1. the pitch is lowered on all tracs exept the first. If the pitch and tempo are incorrect, then it is almost certainly a problem with mismatched sample rates, so you will need to find out what sample rate the Line6 is using, and ...

Re: Crosshair Cursor in Spectral View
As Koz wrote, track spectrogram view does not have crosshairs. You can get the exact time by clicking on waveform and looking at either the Timeline (above the tracks) or the Selection Toolbar . If you enable " Spectral Selection " in Preferences (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spectr...
