Re: Import/Export Labels as Subtitle Files (*srt) od cue files
I found an article here, which agrees that it should be a comma: https://www.3playmedia.com/2017/03/08/create-srt-file/ We can't do much about this until Audacity 2.3.0 comes out in a few weeks, but if you remind me then, I think it will be possible for us to create a plug-in to export labels as a “...

Re: Clean and seamless looping?
If you don't want to go through the trouble of carefully editing loops to make them seamless, the alternative is to buy commercial loops from a reputable company, or search through lots and lots of free ones to pick out the ones that work best. In the long run, if you are interested in making sample...

Re: Clean and seamless looping?
What I gathered from these tutorials (and indeed what they proved) is that the process is as simple as downloading a loop and importing it into Audacity before using the 'repeat' function to create a loop to your desired length. That will work fine, provided that it's a good quality / well made loo...

Re: Timeline panel.
I've asked about this on the developer's mailing list. This was the reply: It is intentional. It is a result of fixing number overcrowding that led to uneven numbering that looked terrible. We COULD be less minimalist and have more ticks. However, with the existing rather baroque ruler marking code ...

Re: Timeline panel.
I think I can see what you mean in the screenshots that I posted. You are referring to the "tick marks" between the numbers?

Re: proper microphone driver
what do these digits mean anyway? When Audacity starts up, it asks the system what audio devices are available. The sound system then fetches the names of the devices from the sound card drivers. Some sound cards have multiple devices, for example, a surround sound capable sound chip may report &qu...

Re: Lost track on export
Which version of Audacity? There is a known bug in a couple of old versions that can cause a project to lose its audio if you overwrite the project using the "Save Project As" command. More information here: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=99026 The bug is fixed in t...

Re: Audacity Data Folder missing - perhaps not even saved
If there's no data, then you have no show.
The data folder is always created automatically when a project is saved, and it is always named with the name of the project followed by "_data".
