Look in the Windows Sound Control Panel at the recording settings for the device. I'd expect that it would support at least 2 channels (hopefully all 4).

Do you mean an "Alesis iO4"? The number of available channels for recording will depend on the device drivers. Audacity does not ship with support for ASIO due to licensing restrictions, so it will depend on whether the device has multi-channel Windows drivers (either WDM or WASAPI). I don...

If I have 5.1 amplifier for watching DVD movies, what do I need for making a cinematic audio with PC and play it to 5.1 amplifier? The moved clip is not inserted between other clips It is if you paste it there, or you can just drag the other clips to make room for it and then drag it there. According to Behringer's documentation, the drivers for a XR18 support WDM, WASAPI and ASIO. Audacity supports WDM and WASAPI.
