Re: Help opening an older file
Does it say: Error Opening Project Couldn't find the project data folder: " name-of-project _data" where " name-of-project " is the name of the project that you are trying to open? If so, then the problem is that the folder " name-of-project _data" is missing - either y...

Re: Batch Tempo Change
In the future it may be possible to write a script to automate the process, but unfortunately that does not help you now. This is looking very likely for the next version of Audacity (Audacity 2.3.0). I've tested this script successfully with the alpha version: (It will NOT work with Audacity 2.2.2...

This was generated with the on-line generator at www.audiocheck.net and viewed in Audacity with default spectrogram settings (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spe ... ences.html)

Re: Audacity 2.2.2 with ASIO: noticeable monitoring latency
I don't know why you are getting different results with Reaper and Audacity, but I guess it is to do with ASIO4All. ASIO4All is not a real ASIO driver, it is an ASIO wrapper around WDM drivers, so latency can't be expected to be any better than the performance of the standard Windows WDM drivers (wh...

Re: Resampling Project
Audacity supports multiple tracks with different sample rates. The "Project Rate" is the rate that the project is working in. Example: If you have a project with two tracks, one with a sample rate of 8000 Hz and one with a sample rate of 48000 Hz, and the "Project Rate" is set to...

Re: microphone problems
Which build of Audacity 2.3.0 alpha are you using?
What sort of mic?
How is the mic connected to the computer?
What settings in the Windows Sound Control Panel and Audacity's device toolbar?

Re: Issue: Closing the Preferences dialog resets project sample rate to default
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about sample rates or spectrogram settings?
If you set custom spectrogram settings for a specific track, those settings are no longer affected by the settings in Preferences.
