Re: Audacity stuttering Dante input

I don't understand how you got that screenshot. In the device toolbar you have the "number of channels" set to "2 (stereo)", but the recorded track is single channel mono. :?

Re: Monitor level is distorted but no clipping.

I don;t want to resurrect an old thread...but this is EXACTLY my problem. I have read throughy through the thread and it is the same problel I am having. The ONLY difference is that I am on a mac. Better to start a new topic on the MacOS forum . The Mac sound system is completely different to the W...

Re: No graba sonidos de la pc

Sorry, I do not speak Spanish. Audacity 1.2.6 is obsolete and no longer supported. The current version of Audacity is 2.2.2, which is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/ (Audacity 2.3.0 is due to be released very soon). To record what is playing on the computer...

Re: DESTRUCTIVE NOISE GATE BUG.

I am using audacity for editing a podcast, and it does seem to only happen when applying it to long tracks (+45 minutes) There are several Nyquist plug-ins that crash badly on long files, particularly older ones. When Nyquist was introduced into Audacity (well over a decade ago), it was not anticip...

Re: DESTRUCTIVE NOISE GATE BUG.

Audacity 2.1.3 is a very old version of Audacity. Within the next few weeks, Audacity 2.3.0 will be released. There have been a lot of bugs fixed since 2.1.3. The current version is 2.2.2 and is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/ Which noise gate are you using...

Re: Is audacity.de an official domain from the audacity team?

I can see why they would not let you take the domain, as audacity is just a word, In the context of audio software, "Audacity" is more than just a word, it is the registered trademark of Dominic Mazoni (co-founder of Audacity). It is a clear breach of trademark, and I personally find it i...

Re: Audacity With Speakers Built Into Monitor Via HDMI?

Audacity should work correctly with any audio device listed in the Windows Sound Control Panel, (provided that the device does actually work).

Re: Recording skips

Could be some obscure setting in Audacity causing skips? It could be a really obvious setting, such as the sample rate. When you start recording a new track, Audacity creates the new track at the same sample rate as the "Project Rate" (lower left corner of the main Audacity window). If I ...
