Re: create tracks at set interval
Can I automatically place a label or split every 5 minutes or 3 minutes, etc? You can use the "Regular Interval Labels"effect: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/regular_interval_labels.html By the way, it's a bad idea to post personal details (such as email address / phone number / addr...

Re: Recording from a midi keyboard live to Audacity
I have been using Mu-Lab to Render my VST tracks to wave forms. From there you can bring them into Audacity, which is a passable solution. You get the sound seasoned to taste and then export to wav file. The other advantage is that you can extract each track individually. I'm sure that there are ot...

Have you looked to see if you can download a suitable sound? (For example: https://freesound.org/search/?q=electric+motor)

Re: SHA256 do not match

Are you using one of the links from this page: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/
Which one?

Re: AUTOMATING inserting separate voice recordings to create a conversation output. Has anyone done it?
OK, here's how I can see this working: First you need to label each track, with each piece numbered sequentially, so that the first bit is numbered 1, the next bit numbered 2 and so on (regardless of who said which bit). Re: Audacity will open its GUI, but everything beyond leads to system crash
I'm happy if you are :) My laptop has two graphics cards, an Intel skylake on-board, and an Nvidia. Normally I used the Nvidia, but I had a go switching to the Intel. I have i965-va-driver 1.7.0-1, and kernel version 4.15.0-34-generic. After switching to the Intel, the laptop failed to boot :o Fortu...
