Re: create tracks at set interval

Can I automatically place a label or split every 5 minutes or 3 minutes, etc? You can use the "Regular Interval Labels"effect: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/regular_interval_labels.html By the way, it's a bad idea to post personal details (such as email address / phone number / addr...

Re: Audacity 2.2.2 Can't Record PC System Audio

You need to do "overdub" recording. There's a tutorial in the manual: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tut ... bbing.html

Re: Recording from a midi keyboard live to Audacity

I have been using Mu-Lab to Render my VST tracks to wave forms. From there you can bring them into Audacity, which is a passable solution. You get the sound seasoned to taste and then export to wav file. The other advantage is that you can extract each track individually. I'm sure that there are ot...

Is there any way to get the Import option to default to the last selected file, so that I would only have to move the cursor one line down?
No, but are you aware that you can select and import multiple files at the same time?

I am thus not installing yet.
Good. If the sha256 is not correct then there's something wrong with the download.

Are you using one of the links from this page: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/
Which one?

Re: AUTOMATING inserting separate voice recordings to create a conversation output. Has anyone done it?

OK, here's how I can see this working: First you need to label each track, with each piece numbered sequentially, so that the first bit is numbered 1, the next bit numbered 2 and so on (regardless of who said which bit). So you now have a project: Audio Track 1 Label Track 1 Audio Track 2 Label Trac...

Re: Audacity will open its GUI, but everything beyond leads to system crash

I'm happy if you are :) My laptop has two graphics cards, an Intel skylake on-board, and an Nvidia. Normally I used the Nvidia, but I had a go switching to the Intel. I have i965-va-driver 1.7.0-1, and kernel version 4.15.0-34-generic. After switching to the Intel, the laptop failed to boot :o Fortu...

Card: Intel Sky Lake Integrated Graphics
Does that use i965-va-driver?
If so, which version do you have, and which kernel version?
