Alternatively, if the gaps between when they are talking is reasonably quiet, you could use "Truncate Silence" (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tru ... lence.html) to delete the parts when they are not speaking, and see how long the remaining audio is.

How about exporting the labels (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/fil ... ort_labels)
Then import the label text file into a spreadsheet and total them up?

And I don't just want to wreck the sound with a low sample rate This is an "Analyze" plug-in. It outputs labels and does NOT modify the audio track (it just uses a lower sample rate internally so as to reduce processing time). This is it working on a Click Track that 3 mins and 20 seconds...

What's the full specifications of your computer (hardware and operating system)?

Can you see which process is flogging the CPU? Is it "MsMpEng.exe"?

The setting in your device toolbar appear to be correct. Sample rate for mixer is 48000 (Playback) and 44100 (Recording) Set them so that they are both the same (try 44100 first), AND, set Audacity to the same in "Edit menu > Preferences > Quality". If 44100 does not work, try 48000, but e...

If I recall correctly, there is a bug in the most recent version of the Queen Mary Vamp Plugin that prevents it from working.
