Re: multitrack recording
There's a little bit of information in this topic: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=38626 We are dependent on users providing this information, and sadly, few do. MacOS seems to support multi-channel devices better than Windows, because the manufacturer's usually provide multi...

Re: Macro command help
Which dialog are you trying to close? In the "Export Multiple" dialog, focus is initially on the "Folder" text box. "Tab" 11 times to move focus to the "Export" button, then "Enter". In the "Success" screen that shows on completion, just &q...

Re: The problem with the voice in the background
You could reduce the low frequencies in the noise with the "High Pass" filter. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/hig ... ilter.html
Try setting it to:
Frequency: 200 Hz
Roll-off: 48 dB/octave
As Koz wrote, there's not very much that is possible for this kind of problem.

Re: Correcting drum hits: Copy / paste sections moved in time
moving the section is tedious, you have to either use key strokes to move the start and the end of the clip, or drag them close to where you want and then fine tune with key strokes or data time input In the Selection Toolbar , set the selection type chooser to "Start and Length of selection&q...

Re: Macro command help
Have to apologize for hastily posting in the discussion area, before realizing there was more immediate assistance method. I've replied to the "feature request" aspect of your other post here: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=101825 Let's keep that topic to discussi...

Re: Audacity 2.3.0 Macro comment/requests
I would like to see an addition: access to the menu command 'Export multiple' Perhaps the other way round: "Export Multiple" could become a "special case" interface for a "macro". The only reason that we can't currently implement "Export Multiple" as a macro ...

Re: downloading and install
Now I want to re-record the first 5 minutes of one of the files. I open the .aud file and start recording but it jumps to the end of the recording and not OVER recording at the beginning (which is what I am trying to do)..Can you not do this? You can't record before, or into an existing track. You ...

Re: How much time used per speaker
I liked the idea of using a spreadsheet as I wrote that suggestion, because of other interesting analysis that could be done. I think Truncate Silence would have been quicker (but less interesting ;)) and could be done like this: 1) Apply Truncate Silence with: Threshold (dB) = what you used with So...
