Labels "should" be kept in order in the label track so that tabbing from tab to tab goes left to right (Shift + Tab for right to left). This is important for a lot of people that use labels for navigating through large projects (such as audiobooks).
This is now fixed in the alpha code.

Re: Add Labels Macro Command
When I get time I shall be looking into this to see if sorting could be added automatically when adding a new label with a macro, without imposing too much of a performance penalty if the project contains a lot of labels. That's looking promising. Even with a project with 1000 labels, I'm not seein...

Re: Default plugin issues: Regular Interval Labels
I'll be glad to! Super. Give this a go: equalabel.ny Note that this has some additional features which are not yet documented. If you find any problems, please let me know (general feedback is also welcome). Note also, there may initially (first run) be a message about restoring default settings. T...

Re: Problem with re-enabling plug-ins since upgrade to 2.2.2
So my workaround for this issue was just making reinstallation of operating system from a usb drive. That's a rather drastic solution, but I had to do the same recently on a Windows 10 machine because a failed Windows update totally trashed its ability to boot up. Pleased to hear it is now working ...

Re: .bak rename overwritten export file
There is already an "are you sure" prompt.
Are you asking for an option to never overwrite an existing file?
If so, what about project files? Do you want an option to make it impossible to save changes to your project without giving it a new name?
Do you make backup copies?

Re: Add Labels Macro Command
As for "Probably other things too". That is too vague to be of much help. Macros are a new feature with dozens of new commands and thousands of ways of using and combining them. I've only been testing these new features for a few weeks longer than you, plus fixing some problems as they ha...

Re: Default plugin issues: Regular Interval Labels
That quick fix worked!! Good to know that we're on the right track :) However, I can't meet "Too many labels" error. I noticed that. Again it's because Audacity's newer built-in validation is getting there before the Nyquist check. I'll be removing that string from the plug-in. I look for...

Re: recording... not working
why did the setting change and why was is grayed out before? Perhaps not plugged in all the way? If it's a USB mic, perhaps Windows failed to connect it when you booted up, or if you've not rebooted for a long time, Windows may have turned it off (frequently happens with USB devices if Windows goes...
