Re: Issue: Cannot open relative path from command line if an Audacity instance is already running

A bit more digging revealed that this issue was the same on Windows and Linux, but not macOS. On macOS the behavior is what you described as "expected".
Thanks for your work on this jpr. Audacity has now been updated to give the same behavior as macOS on all platforms.

Re: pop at the beginning of recording any new track

Try setting the default recording / playback device in the system "Sound Settings" to the UFX1204, and then set the devices to "default" in the device toolbar . If that appears to work, test it thoroughly - on some machines this can make Audacity prone to freezing but on other ma...

Re: Saving a 320kbps file as what?

is there a difference if I File>>Export >>Export as WAV then from that window select FLAC or if I File>>Export>>Export Audio then from that window select FLAC? Or is it the same? Both the same. The "Export as WAV" option is just a shortcut to "File>>Export>>Export Audio then from tha...

if the Center frequency would set to 10000 Hz, and Stop-band width - 0.8 octaves.
That would be about 750 Hz to 1.4 kHz.
1 octave is the same as doubling, or halving the frequency, so a width of 2 octaves and a center frequency of 1000 Hz would be 500 Hz to 2000 Hz.

Re: Couldn’t find the project data folder [SOLVED]

Just got my song back. Hooray :) I'll close this topic as "solved". Saved it as a project and exported it as an mp3 For any important work, it is highly recommended to always save a backup copy in WAV format. MP3 format always has a slight reduction in sound quality, whereas a WAV format ...

Re: Error: try changing the audio host

On most Linux systems, the only host is ALSA.

Which version of Linux?
Which version of Audacity?

Re: Couldn’t find the project data folder

Click "OK" (ensuring that the option "Continue without deleting" is selected). Hopefully the project will open with audio present. If it does, then: "File menu > Save Project > Save Project As..." and save the project somewhere convenient (such as your "Music"...

Re: Installing ASIO in Audacity

To use ASIO with Audacity, you need to "build" ASIO support into Audacity. So, after setting up the ASIOSDK_DIR environment variable:
1) Reboot
2) Launch MSVC and open the Audacity sln
3) Clean the build
4) Build Audacity (again)
