Re: Audacity 2.3.0 freezing

Perhaps you could test the device with other software.

couldn't Audacity be made a little more fault tolerant?
There has been some work in the last couple of versions of Audacity to try and make it more robust against faulty hardware, but that is a very difficult and complex task.

Re: Export multiple does not split audio into multiple files

The problem I have with K3b is one of permissions. cdburner does not have permission to access the cd-drive. Re: Compiler Does't find defs.h and zconf.h

I don't understand why you think that VS2008 will work better than 2017, when the instructions clearly say to use 2017 :?

Xfburner works but I don't think it supports CD-Text
You could try K3b (but it has a lot of dependencies if you don't already have KDE).

Re: How can I cut every small peaks ? (see pic)

The "Equalization" effect can remove frequencies above 10,000 Hz.
(see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/equalization.html)

Re: LF Rolloff for speech

You are warned that Low Rolloff is designed to suppress 60 Hz power hum in a recording. No, that is not what it is designed for. The "Low rolloff for speech" setting is designed to reduce rumble and "wind blast" in voice recordings. To filter out 60 Hz power hum, a Notch filter ...

Re: Apple Magic Mouse + Horizontal Scrolling

Not sure I want to turn off scrolling for EVERYTHING I know what you mean - there's a few apps where I find the horizontal scroll quite useful, but mostly I find it really annoying, which is why I bought a cheap wireless mouse. It's a shame that Apple don't appear to have provided a convenient way ...

Re: Apple Magic Mouse + Horizontal Scrolling

I've not tried it myself, but there is an answer here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2292349

Re: Lower vocals on mp3 track

You could duplicate the track (Select the track then "Ctrl + D", or select "Duplicate" from the Edit menu). Apply "Vocal Removal" to one of the tracks, then adjust the "Gain" sliders on the tracks so that you have a suitable mix (without going over 0 dB when t...
