Re: Digitech Rp360xp: Recording Line won't Move in audacity 2.3

Seems like the signal fed through my rp360xp is not even being detected in the sound panel in the recording mode The manual says: " The RP360 and RP360XP use the standard drivers which come with Mac OS X and Windows operating systems. Therefore, there are no additional drivers to install. Simp...

Re: export files

Windows assigns icons to file types that it recognises according to "file extension". The "file extension" is the last few letters of the file name after the final dot. By default, Windows hides the "file extension" for file types that it recognises. Example. The correc...

Re: Cannot Get FFmpeg Recognized by Audacity

The file isn't an audio file. I presume that you tried to download an audio file from the Internet, and you got this file instead. The file extension ".htm" is a web page - you've downloaded the web page rather than the audio file. This can sometimes happen when you "Right click"...

Re: Random Buffering(?) Gaps In Recordings

My feeling is that fragmentation is not the problem here. I agree that is unlikely. The disk has to very badly fragmented (or less than 10% free space) before there is much noticeable reduction in performance. I will adjust the "quiet hours" for Windows Update, although with it being disc...

All three result in an error block that says only Projects can be saved
I think you are probably misinterpreting the message. What is the full and exact message?

Re: Total Audacity noob here

Amazon Reviews for https ://www.fakespot.com /product/zoom-h1n-handy-recorder-2018-model get a "D". Nevertheless, the Zoom H1N is pretty good for what it is. What it is, is a compact, lightweight, inexpensive digital recorder with decent recording quality. They are quite widely used for r...

Re: How does a file become a Project?

On Linux, the easiest way to save an Audacity Project is: "File menu > Save" and give the project a one word name, preferably no spaces, and definitely no "special" characters (such as punctuation characters). The underscore character "_" is OK to use. Numbers and lette...

Re: Can't import OGG into audacity

Is it a secret what the web page said about the file?
Perhaps you could copy and paste the info (preferably using the "</>" button to put "code" tags around it, but don't worry about it if you don't know how to do that).
